For fans of all four of nature’s seasons, White Lake, Michigan is calling for you. Enjoy autumn? The rural, almost country-like, feel of White Lake is partially thanks to the township’s abundance of trees, all of which glow brilliant reds and yellows in the fall. Love winter? Alpine Valley Ski Resort is within White Lake, providing visitors access to 25 ski slopes for downhill action and four terrain parks for cross-country fun. Located in the northwestern corner of metro Detroit’s spread, White Lake Township is 37 square miles of trees, lakes, homes, and some commercial development. Mostly rural, the community has an “Up North” feel thanks to the lake living and numerous outdoor recreation options. The township also maintains four other parks within its borders. There are two golf courses, as well as a private equestrian farm. Seniors can enjoy programming at the Dublin Senior Center. And when they’re done playing, children will attend school within one of five nearby districts (White Lake has no specific school district).
