Event Details: Gabriele Mayer, who holds a PhD in plant physiology and is a certified death doula, will share her expertise on making death greener. Traditional burials usually require that the body be embalmed and require cement or metal vaults surround the casket. Cremation also requires considerable energy usage. In this program, we will learn about additional options such as human composting, natural burial, and aquamation.
